Welcome Back Friends!
If you’re new to my blog, allow me to introduce myself- I’m Jessica Layden- the blogger behind “Just Being Jessica”. I’m really just a small town girl with BIG DREAMS. If you follow me long enough, you’ll probably get a little bit tired of hearing me say that, but I just can’t help myself! I consider myself so blessed to even have the opportunity in this life to build a home, and I can only hope that my blog will inspire you too in someway to accomplish whatever it is you dream of– whether it’s building a dream home of your own, staying at home to raise your children, trying to go after that dream job, going back for a degree, mending a strained relationship, or getting in the best shape of your life. It’s never too late to do what you dream of doing! You only get one life, and my motto is- you have to try to live a life with NO REGRETS.
About eight years ago, my husband and I bought our dream property– our small piece of rural America- a gorgeous seven acre lot– and we’ve been determined ever since to make building our dream home a reality. Here we FINALLY are– nearly ten years later taking the plunge! I’m so glad you’re here and I hope you will stay awhile and follow our journey to the completion of what I call #thelaydenlegacy! It may take us awhile, but there is one thing I have learned in my life- and that is that slow progress is better than NO PROGRESS! You are all my inspiration to keep going with our project, and I’m so thankful for each and every one of you!

When I began looking at Exterior Concepts ten years years ago, I really only knew I wanted our home to have a classic, beautiful, and timeless exterior design. I wanted an exterior that was low maintenance– meaning I didn’t have to do much to maintain its’ beauty, and one that I wouldn’t tire of quickly. I love white/neutral colored homes with darker gray/black roofs as seen in many of the images below. I wanted to go a different direction with our new construction than the starter home that we currently live in- which is a traditional, classic red brick home with stark white windows! We have lived in our starter home for nearly 14 years, so both my husband and I felt it was time for a change. We wanted to go in a completely new direction. I always envisoned our dream home exterior to be traditional with a modern twist. With that being said, here are some images of home exteriors I have collected over the years that I fell in love with! I like to say, in my opinion of course- these are some of the most beautiful home exteriors on the Internet!
If you are the owner of any of the images below or know the source of the images I have tagged as Unknown, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can give proper credit.
Thank you so much for joining me on this exciting adventure! I’d love to hear in the comments– which home exterior is your favorite? I really hope you don’t lose your eyesight viewing these gorgeous home exteriors! Enjoy!
